According to MTV, Robert Zemeckis has confirmed that Roger Rabbit 2 is being scripted. Jeffrey Price and Peter Seaman, the original writers, are at work on the script, under the supervision of Zemeckis. Zemeckis also discussed the use of motion-capture and 3-D technology in the film, here is what he had to say…
"I wouldn't use it for the cartoon characters, because I think they should stay two-dimensional. I wouldn't dimensonalize Roger…But all the other characters that [the cartoons] would sort of have fun with would be magnificent in performance capture technology."

This will be awesome. I remember seeing this for the first time when I was seven and even then I knew it kicked ass. Plus Jessica Rabbit made me feel all tingly in my nether region.

I think it's a great idea for classic cartoon characters, but it would be great if there were live action characters, 2d classic cartoons AND 3D characters from the newer movies, like Toy Story.

what made roger rabbit special in the first place was the animation interacting with the live-action. removing it and having it all animated loses alot of the original's charm.

Jessica needs to have a rival, some 3D babe, that taunts her about how she's in 3d or something. Leading to constant one-upmanship in the struggle to decide who is the most ungodly sexy cartoon on earth.
